30th Nov 11(Wed) Nifty Option Chain

Hi,

Nifty today, made wild swings and closed positive in the end.It opened gap down around around 4780 and slipped to touch 4760 by 11 or so. It recovered and went above 4800 up to 4850 by 2. Selling pressure kicked in and Nifty came back down to 4480 by 2.30. Again it picked up steam and moved to 4840 and finally closed around 4830.

As i write this, 9.40 p.m, Europe and US markets on a roll. Risen anywhere between 3% to 5%. There is a positive news about global central banks coordinated action to boost dollar liquidity.Expect Nifty to open gap up at least by 100 points tomorrow. SGX Nifty is at 4950.

here is Nifty Option Chain of 30th Nov 11(Wed).  4700 put has seen good built up and has about 85 lakhs OI which may be construed as good support for coming sessions.

29th Nov 11(Tue) Nifty Option Chain

Hi,

Today Nifty opened around 4850 and slipped close to 4800 in the morning session. Recovered and moved to a high of 4865 by afternoon. Selling pressure hit in the afternoon and at one point Nifty came below 4800 to 4790 level. In the last half an hour ,it hung around 4800 and closed at 4805.

Today, Opened gap up near recent resistance 4770 and never really looked back. moved above 4800 and went up to 4859 and closed the day around 4850 level. Hopeful news from Europe relating to Euro Zone debt crisis have all the markets, Asian , European markets in very good spirits today.as i write this,9.30 p.m.,US markets are trading positive.

25th Nov 11(Fri) Nifty Option Chain

Hi,

Today, First Day of the DEC series, Nifty Opened around 4730 and slipped to 4700 level in the morning. Found support at 4700 level and raced to 4765 by 10.30. oscillated between 4730 and 4750 till 2 clock. Selling pressure brought Nifty briefly to below 4700 around 4695.Nifty managed to close around 4705 in the end.

Here is Nifty Option Chain of 25th Nov 11(Fri).

I have updated the file with DEC series calendar. Dec is a long series and has only one holiday on 06th Dec, Tue. Notice the OI Addition on 25th Nov 11(Fri) at 4700 Put , about 11.5 lakh and at 4800 Call , about 12 lakh. Considering this series is a long series and assuming these option writers are strong, Nifty may bounce around in the 100 point range for some sessions while option writers may enjoy the reduction in premium due to time decay . Of course ,very positive or negative news will tilt the scales. After 4700 Put ,highest put OI Build up is at 4500 Put . looks like Option Traders are not considering 4600 as big support , if 4700 is decisively broken. Remember in the last series, Nifty broke below 4700 to 4650 levels twice.

Today, being true to the nature of the settlement day, Nifty made huge swings. The difference between day's low and day's high is about 120 points.

Nifty started above 4700 around 4710 and dropped to a low of 4648 by 10.30. Hung in a tight range of 20 points or so till afternoon. Climbed above 4700 in the afternoon and in the last 45 minutes raced to 4770 high and closed around 4755.

As today is settlement day, Nifty Option Data of Dec Series is given.

Nifty today made wild swings. Initially it Opened above 4800 and moved up to 4820 levels. Made a low around 4785.Moved above 4800 and dashed to 4830 by 11.30. There after moved between 4800 and 4830 and again spurted to 4850 by 1.40 or so. Very swiftly Nifty came back below 4800 and finally closed around 4810.

17th Nov 11(Thurs) Nifty Option Chain

Hi Traders,

Today , Nifty Started around 5030 and came down to touch 5000 in the morning session. Bounced back once to 5035 level but sold into. Oscillated between 5000 to 5020 till afternoon. After Europe Markets opened, started drifting down to 5000 and around 2 clock, 5000 was decisively broken. within few blinks the Nifty was at 4970 level. without any recovery went on to broke 4950 and touched low around 4920.Finally closed around 4930.

here is Nifty Option Chain on 17th Nov 11(Thurs).You would notice there is considerable reduction in OI at 5000 Put which was considered as good support. with today's break below 5000, i think, the sentiment has turned negative at least for the remainder of series. There is build up of OI in 5100, 5000 ,4900 calls and 4900 Put has seen considerable OI addition. with the benefit of hindsight, we can say, market participants taking a bearish view of the market. writing calls and buying puts without much hesitation or fear.
